Connect Instagram to Analytra—checklist, Meta OAuth, synced insights, API limits, and troubleshooting.
Instagram Connector Setup Guide
Want your Instagram insights in Analytra (without living inside Meta dashboards)? Connect once and we'll sync your Instagram performance data automatically.
Before you start (tiny checklist)
You'll need:
- A Meta Business Account connected to your Instagram Page
- Admin access to that Meta account
Connect Instagram to Analytra
Okidoki — let's connect it step-by-step:
- In Analytra, go to Connect Data (left sidebar)
- Find Instagram and click Connect
- Click Authenticate with Instagram
- You'll be redirected to Facebook/Meta's permission screen
- Log in with the Meta account that manages the Instagram Page
- Approve the requested permissions
- Back in Analytra, click Connect Instagram to finish
What data gets synced
Once connected, Analytra can sync:
- User Insights
- Media Insights
- Story Insights
The first sync may take a few minutes, depending on how much history Meta has available.
Rate Limits and Data Refresh
- Data syncs daily by default
- We import up to the last 12 months of historical data by default (if available)
- API calls are optimized to respect Meta API limits
Troubleshooting (the usual suspects)
If the OAuth connection fails:
- Make sure you're logging into the correct Meta/Facebook account
- Confirm you have admin access to the Meta Business Account (and the connected Instagram Page)
- Try clearing cache/cookies or use an incognito window
Security note
Your Meta credentials are encrypted and stored securely. Authentication happens through Meta's own servers — we never see or store your password.
