Instagram Setup Guide

Prerequisites

• A Meta Business Account connected to your Instagram Page
• Admin access to the Meta Account

Connecting Instagram to Analytra

1. In Analytra, go to "Connect Data" in the left sidebar
2. Click the "Connect" button in the table for Instagram
3. Click "Authenticate with Instagram"
4. You'll be redirected to Facebook's OAuth consent screen
5. Login to your Meta Ads Facebook Account
6. Grant the requested permissions
7. After successful authentication, click the connect Instagram button

What Data Gets Synced

Once connected, Analytra will sync the following data from Instagram:

• User Insights
• Media Insights
• Story Insights

The initial sync may take a few minutes depending on the amount of historical data.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

1. OAuth Connection Failed
   • Ensure you're using the correct Facebook account
   • Check if you have admin access to the Facebook Ads account
   • Try clearing your browser cache and cookies

Security Note

Your Facebook Ads credentials are encrypted and stored securely. The OAuth connection is handled directly through Facebook's authentication servers, and we never see or store your Facebook password.

Rate Limits and Data Refresh

• Data is synced daily by default
• Historical data is imported for the last 12 months by default
• API calls are optimized to respect API quotas
