Google Search Console Connector Setup Guide

Want to see what people are typing into Google before they land on your site (and stop guessing which keywords "feel right")? Connect Search Console to Analytra and we'll sync your organic search performance automatically.

Before you start (tiny checklist)

You'll need:

  • A Google Search Console account
  • A Google account with access to the Search Console property you want to connect
  • The website URL or Domain you want to monitor (exactly as it appears in Search Console)

Connect Google Search Console to Analytra

Okidoki — let's connect it step-by-step:

  1. In Analytra, go to Connect Data (left sidebar)
  2. Select Google Search Console from the list of sources
  3. Click Authenticate with Google
  4. You'll be redirected to Google's permission screen
  5. Select the Google account that has access to your Search Console property
  6. Approve the requested permissions
  7. Back in Analytra, enter your:
    • Website URL or Domain (exactly as shown in Search Console, top-left)
  8. Click Connect to finish

Done. Sync starts.

What data gets synced

Once connected, Analytra can sync:

  • Search queries
  • Page performance
  • Click-through rates (CTR)
  • Search impressions
  • Average position
  • Countries
  • Devices
  • Search appearance
  • Date information

The first sync may take a few hours, depending on how much history your property has.

Rate Limits and Data Refresh

  • Data syncs every 6 hours by default
  • Search Console data typically has a 24–48 hour reporting delay (normal Search Console behavior)
  • Historical data is imported for the last year by default

Troubleshooting (the usual suspects)

If the OAuth connection fails:

  • Make sure you're using the correct Google account
  • Confirm you have access to the Search Console property
  • Try clearing cache/cookies or use an incognito window

If your URL format is rejected:

  • Include the full format (example: https://www.example.com)
  • Make sure the URL/domain matches exactly what's listed in Search Console

If no data shows up:

  • Confirm the property is verified in Search Console
  • Make sure there's data within the sync timeframe
  • Allow 24–48 hours for newer data to appear

Security note

Your Google credentials are encrypted and stored securely. Authentication happens through Google's own servers — we never see or store your Google password. Data is handled in line with Google Search Console Terms of Service.
