Google Search Console Setup Guide
This guide will help you connect your Google Search Console data to Analytra. Once connected, your Search Console data will be automatically synced to your Analytra account.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, you'll need:
- A Google Search Console account
- Google account with access to the website property you want to connect
- The website URL you want to monitor
Connecting Google Search Console to Analytra
- In Analytra, go to "Connect Data" in the left sidebar
- Select "Google Search Console" from the list of available sources
- Click "Authenticate with Google"
- You'll be redirected to Google's OAuth consent screen
- Select the Google account that has access to your Search Console property
- Grant the requested permissions
- Enter your website URL or Domain (same as in the Search Console Top Left Corner)
- Click "Connect" to finish the setup
What Data Gets Synced
Once connected, Analytra will sync the following data from your Search Console property:
- Search queries
- Page performance
- Click-through rates
- Search impressions
- Average position
- Countries
- Devices
- Search appearance
- Date information
The initial sync may take a few hours depending on the amount of historical data.
Data Freshness and Sync Schedule
- Data is synced every 6 hours by default
- Search Console data typically has a 24-48 hours delay
- Historical data is imported for the last year
Troubleshooting
Common Issues
- OAuth Connection Failed
- Ensure you're using the correct Google account
- Verify you have access to the Search Console property
- Try clearing your browser cache and cookies
- Invalid URL Format
- Include the full domain (e.g., https://www.example.com)
- Verify the URL matches exactly what's in Search Console
- No Data Available
- Check if your property is verified in Search Console
- Ensure the property has data within the sync timeframe
- Allow 24-48 hours for new data to appear
Security and Privacy
- Your Google credentials are encrypted and stored securely
- OAuth connection is handled directly through Google's authentication servers
- We never see or store your Google password
- Data is processed in compliance with Google Search Console Terms of Service
